Greenstep Cities

Roles:
Website Layout Designer, Asset Designer
My main role in this project was as a website layout designer, and an asset designer. Using assets created by both my team members, and myself, I created a layout of a potential new homepage for GreenStep Cities to use.

Description:
This was a project created for the Greenstep Cities organization. Our class created a design plan which included: a reworked version of the organization’s home page, and a social media campaign called “Greenstep City of the Month”. The reworked homepage was created to be simple and answer the very important question: “Why Greenstep Cities?”. The social media campaign was a friendly competition where every month, a city in the green step program would be selected as greenstep city of the month, and would be featured on all of their social media platforms, as well as the website. The main asset that I created for this layout was the 3D Minnesota icon used in this new website layout. This 3D Minnesota was created as a update to the map currently included in GreenStep’s homepage, and it acts as more of a metaphorical representation of their influence, while being more visually appealing compared to the original map.  The main audience for this updated homepage is anyone who visits the GreenStep Cities website. This new potential homepage attempts to be less overwhelming when compared to the current homepage.
