This was a solo project, where my main role was to write an enjoyable Non-fiction story, including some writing concepts learned in the creative writing class I was taking at the time.
Description:
Memento Stained in Crimson is a creative non-fiction piece where the unnamed narrator of the story recalls several memories from his past and finds various ways to intertwine each moment. In creating this project, I used different techniques learned in class including Structure, Voice, and Braiding. The story is structured into 5 different parts, 5 different smaller stories creating one big story. It is using the technique of braiding to create hidden connections between these seemingly unrelated stories. Most importantly, the story holds a distinct voice, the voice of the narrator describing the stories in a way only he could. Memento Stained with Crimson was created mainly for me. It is a sort of personal reflection on my own life.
