Roles:
Lead Artist, Sprite Designer, Animator, Sound Designer, Musician, Level Designer, Writer
My main role on this project was handling the visual and audio style of the game. This includes the sprite design / animations, the sound design, the music, the writing, and the level design. I also Co-designed the groundwork for the game including characters, the setting, and the main gameplay loop.
Description:
This game was originally made for the first St. Thomas game Jam, it is a simple roguelike top-down shooter that takes place in a singular room. You play as a plumber who is trapped within a theatre and is forced to participate in a play. This game is still in development. When creating my sprite work, the focus I had when designing each character, and the setting was making sure everything was visually distinct and accessible. A part of my artist statement is I want each one of my interactive art pieces to be accessible for all audiences, so I created my sprites with visual impairments and color blindness in mind. As a part of all of my games, I create them for any audience. Games should be able to be enjoyed by anyone, no matter their skill or age.
